An award-winning editor and reporter, Bill Kovach believes we are in danger of losing free and independent media in this country, a loss that he asserts would imperil the rights of every American. Kovach has spent a distinguished four-decade career in journalism, writing for The New York Times and editing projects that won four Pulitzer Prizes. While curator of Harvard's Nieman Foundation, he launched the Committee of Concerned Journalists, an organization that advocates for higher standards in journalism.
