Photographer, David Bacon is an activist for migrant worker rights. He uses his photo essays to display the daily exploitation that immigrant workers must endure.
Child care is often a struggle for migrant workers. Andrea Hinojosa works for the Southeast Georgia Communities Project (SEGCP) which provides childcare for local migrant workers. The SEGCP runs two migrant worker child daycares. Each facility can care for eighty children.
Francisca Cordes is a migrant worker that is striking against Burger King because she would like to receive a penny more a pound for the tomatoes that she picks. Cordes is a member of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers which in an organization composed of migrant workers.
As the Vice President of food safety, quality insurance and regulatory compliance for Burger King, Steven Grover is responsible for total food safety at 11,200 Burger King Restaurants around the world.
Maria Ines Catalan is one of the first Latina farm workers to become a farm owner. Catalan’s farm is part of a producer cooperative called Asociacion Mercado Organica. She owns fourteen acres in Hollister, California.
