People in the tiny community of Diamond, LA lived next to an industrial maze and breathed in what came out of smokestacks. Eventually, these descendants of once rebellious slaves took a stand against Shell Oil in what amounted to a twenty year struggle for health, safety and self respect against seemingly insurmountable odds. Ultimately, they won with the help of friends near and far.
